Većina liga širom svijeta ima 'Promociju play off-a' da pomogne odlučiti ko dobija promociju u sledeći red liga piramide.To može biti jedna utakmica ili serija utakmica koje se igraju nakon što regularna sezona završi s ciljem utvrđivanja ko dobija promociju zajedno sa klubovima koji su automatski osigurali promociju.

For Standardna prvenstva (excluding Korisnička prvenstva as there is an option within ‘Advanced Rules’ of whether to include them or not) this means that the teams finishing in the play off places will contest the ‘Promotion Play-Offs’.

The semi-finals will be a one off match, with 6th playing 3rd and 5th playing 4th for example, and the home team being the higher placed team. The Final will be played at a neutral stadium and again would be a one off match, with the winner securing promotion to the next tier of the league pyramid.
